01 — About the human

HEY, I'M ALEX. I WRITE TO UNDERSTAND LIFE.

AlexBlogs started in 2016 as a tiny Tumblr-style diary and grew into a full independent magazine. I'm a designer, writer and chronic experimenter based between Lisbon and Berlin.

I test morning routines, build apps, travel with one backpack, read 40 books a year and document everything — wins, burns and weird lessons — so you don't have to learn the hard way.

“I don't chase virality. I chase clarity. If one essay saves you a month of overthinking — this blog did its job.”

Tech, Tools & AI

Honest reviews of apps, gear and AI workflows. What I use, what I deleted, why.

Minimalism & Money

Own less, live more. Frugal freedom, one-bag living, investing in calm.

Slow Travel

City guides for lingerers, not tourists. Cafes to write in, walks to think on.

☀

Habits & Mind

Sleep, journaling, therapy notes, stoicism for modern anxiety. Small loops, big change.

04 — How I write
The AlexBlogs manifesto

Rules taped above my desk. They keep the blog human in an age of infinite slop.

01. Lived, not googled

I only publish what I've tried for 30+ days. No theory without scars.

02. Short is kind

1500 words max unless the story earns more. Respect your attention.

03. Show the mess

Numbers, screenshots, failures. Perfect gurus are boring — progress is interesting.

05 — Archive
